Emerce (a leading Dutch publisher discussing the on-line business, Media and Marketing) published their yearly emerce100 on top 100 best companies in the e-business 2012. Companies were ranked based on size, turnover and image in the industry.
The research was conducted through a survey sent to almost 80.000 recipients that are associated with Emerce, 2625 recipients filled out the survey.
A theroretical 7 stars was the maximum achieveable. In the commercial CMS section EPiServer was ranked 1st with 5 stars, followed by Alterian, GX, Hippo and a few others with 4.5 stars. The CMS market in the Netherlands is competitive and we are of course proud that we have made great progress in the market and that the users in the market have voted for us. We have some customers that have taken their online presence to a very high standard and have received public recognition for it. Among the customers is the Anne Frank Foundation, which won an award at the Webby's in 2011.
With The Secret Annex Online, people can now visit Anne Frank's secret hiding place in 3D. EPiServer's open architecture enabled us to maintain this complex site effectively, with a menu structure listing the content of each room.
