EmailEncoder hampers spam robots' rampage by encrypting published e-mail addresses so that only a part of the address is visible to the visitor. The software works with or without javascript, and offers an enhanced protection against spam. EmailEncoder 2.0 comes with three different protective devices; Confirm protector, Math protector, and Captcha protector. When a visitor clicks on the part of the e-mail address that is visible, a protection dialog pops up. Once the visitor has passed the protection element, the whole e-mail address will be visible. It is also possible to link the address to a form and connect it to the three security functions mentioned above. This means that the address never will be exposed on the website.
EmailEncoder can be applied to a Microsoft Internet Information Server version 5, 6 and 7 and does not require any modification of the existing applications; it just works as an outward filter to the web client.
As the filter is installed centrally, no re-working of e-mail addresses already published on the website is required.
